An electric Supermoto?? … WHAT THE HECK!

The noticeable absence of a clutch lever may have the wheelie enthusiast seconds from clicking away. However, just take a look at this figure – £1.35.

£1.35 is the typical cost to recharge this Supermoto overnight. Zero Motorcycles has made charging this bike so simple it’s a game changer. No charge stations required, just a standard household socket. (230V AC in the UK.)

A household socket will supply daily rides at a fraction of fuel costs. You can easily ride up to 60 miles a day before needing to recharge this Supermoto overnight.

The charge time is around 9 hours using the 650W onboard charger. This can be cut down to around 4 hours with an accessory charger or even 2 hours with dual accessory chargers.

Goodbye tedious services! No more oil changes, spark plugs, clutches, filters, chains, tune-ups and expensive rebuilds. Hello to an air-cooled, Z-Force brushless motor with one single moving part and a carbon fibre belt.

But is this just an electric commuting bike? Well it does the job of commuting really well, but the Zero FXS has so much more to offer.

This bike has eye watering acceleration that would put most Supermotos to shame. The FXS has excellent Showa suspension, precise handling and fantastic ABS brakes all wrapped up in a light-weight package.

The Zero FXS is a proper Supermoto that is great fun to ride and will no doubt keep improving. The future is electric, so just twist and go!

Some Owner Reviews

“I’ve ridden an FX every day for nearly 3 years now. I can’t stand to ride my other ICE bikes, even my formerly prized 500 EXC. This is not for weekend joyrides or commutes over 10-15 miles. It’s a utilitarian daily driver that turns the most mundane errands into huge fun”.

“I test rode a Zero last week.  It’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a motorcycle.  The torque is UNREAL.  You can’t ‘not smile’ while riding it.  The quiet ride is REVOLUTIONARY – think how much more you are exposed to the elements between a car and a motorcycle.  A lot right?  It’s the same difference between and electric moto and gas moto.  The electric has no fumes, no noise – just a much purer ‘near nature’ experience”.

“I love my FX. I have a 60 mile round trip commute and it’s magic. Granted I have only have had it for 6 months i have no complaints. The almost zero maintenance and charge and go is perfect. The only downside is it’s like two grand to replace the battery. Hopefully I can get several years out of this battery though. but that’s the only drawback I have found so far. (For it being a commute bike)”.

“I own a 2017 Zero FXS, and now have over 21,000 miles. The only maintenance I’ve done is 3 new back tires and a headlamp. Even with a higher cost up front, the bike is paying for itself with fuel and maintenance savings”.

“I ride a 2019 ZERO S and a 2019 CBR 300R. Love both but yeah very different experiences. The CBR 300 is way more fun cause I actually like shifting and feels more like a racer. But the Zero is hands down more thrilling to ride. It gives you this feeling like you’re a space cadet on the USS Enterprise”.

“I bought a 2019 FSX last week, swapped my GSXR1000 K7, its got the same pull as the 1000 and so much lighter. I only need it for my 20 mile each way commute and can plug in at work. So im saving over £130 a month on fuel”.
